DESCRIPTION:
In 1968, the crew of Apollo 8 became the first humans to see the dark side of the moon, orbiting the moon 10 times over 20 hours. The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of The Moon pays tribute to the Speedmaster Professional chronographs worn by every Apollo astronaut during this mission.
Embodying the brand’s pioneering spirit, this incredible chronograph is inspired by a lunar legacy, representing the deepest corners of space.
Crafted from a single block of black zirconium oxide ceramic that has been heated and three-dimensionally machined, this striking 44.25mm timepiece is truly unique.
Framed by a brushed ceramic bezel, the black ceramic dial features 18K white gold applied indexes and blackened sub-dial rings at 3 and 9 o’clock.
Powered by the 9300 calibre movement, this ultra-precise timepiece features chronograph and tachymeter functions, and is secured with a black nylon strap.
The transparent caseback makes it possible to see the movement at work.
